چکیده

Abstract Despite the great promise of InSe for electronic and optoelectronic applications, Fröhlich interaction plays an important role in electrical transport due to polar nature it, which can become more significant reduced dimensionality. Here, we report on how dimensionality influences strength polaronic effect with aid plasmonic hot electrons injection. Polar optical phonons couple via enable us monitor them conventional Raman measurements. We observed that intensity these phonon modes initially increases gradually decreasing layer number then drops drastically from 7 L 6 (transition quasi-direct indirect bandgap at room temperature). Additionally, a gradual decrease further is increasing suggesting coupling below this thickness.

Plasmonic Hot Electron Induced Photocurrent Response at MoS2-Metal Junctions.

We investigate the wavelength- and polarization-dependence of photocurrent signals generated at few-layer MoS2-metal junctions through spatially resolved photocurrent measurements. When incident photon energy is above the direct bandgap of few-layer MoS2, the maximum photocurrent response occurs for the light polarization direction parallel to the metal electrode edge, which can be attributed t...

Molecular interfaces for plasmonic hot electron photovoltaics.

The use of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) to improve and tailor the photovoltaic performance of plasmonic hot-electron Schottky solar cells is presented. SAMs allow the simultaneous control of open-circuit voltage, hot-electron injection and short-circuit current. To that end, a plurality of molecule structural parameters can be adjusted: SAM molecule's length can be adjusted to control plasm...

Anomalous free electron laser interaction

Free electron lasers (FELs) are considered, typically, as fast wave devices. The normal FEL interaction satisfies the tuning condition oDðkz þ kWÞVz , where o and kz are the em-wave angular frequency and longitudinal wave number, respectively, Vz is the electron axial speed, and kW is the wiggler periodicity. This paper presents an anomalous FEL interaction, which may occur in slow-wave FELs (i...

Plasmonic hot electron transport drives nano-localized chemistry

Nanoscale localization of electromagnetic fields near metallic nanostructures underpins the fundamentals and applications of plasmonics. The unavoidable energy loss from plasmon decay, initially seen as a detriment, has now expanded the scope of plasmonic applications to exploit the generated hot carriers. However, quantitative understanding of the spatial localization of these hot carriers, ak...

Large-Area Plasmonic-Crystal−Hot-Electron-Based Photodetectors

In view of their exciting optoelectronic light− matter interaction properties, plasmonic−hot-electron devices have attracted significant attention during the last few years as a novel route for photodetection and light-energy harvesting. Herein we report the use of quasi-3D large-area plasmonic crystals (PC) for hot-electron photodetection, with a tunable response across the visible and near-in...
